Background
Canon has historically used seasonal sales and promotional campaigns to attract customers, especially during mid-year periods like May. Previous years saw similar discounts, often tied to holiday sales or product launches. The current campaign aligns with Canon’s ongoing efforts to promote their latest mirrorless cameras, professional gear, and refurbished models, amid a competitive camera market dominated by other brands like Sony and Nikon.
In 2026, Canon has emphasized its membership programs, which offer tiered discounts and repair benefits, as part of its strategy to foster brand loyalty among professionals and enthusiasts. The current promotion builds on this by providing up to 30% discounts for members and new buyers alike, with ongoing updates expected throughout the month.
