Amazon has listed the 13-inch M5 MacBook Air with 24GB of unified memory and a 1TB SSD for $1,599, $200 below its listed price. Other configurations are discounted by $150, with prices starting at $1,449.99; the deal’s availability and duration are not specified.
Amazon has cut the listed price of the 13-inch M5 MacBook Air with 24GB of unified memory and a 1TB SSD by $200, to $1,599, according to Wccftech. Other M5 MacBook Air configurations are also discounted, by $150, with listed prices starting at $1,449.99. The savings make the higher-capacity version less expensive than usual, though the deal’s end date and stock availability are not given.
The $1,599 offer applies to a configuration with Apple’s M5 chip, a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, alongside 24GB of unified memory and 1TB of storage. Wccftech describes the deal as the lowest price for this model on Amazon, but provides no pricing history or comparison period to independently assess that characterization. The report says the other configurations are marked down by $150, starting at $1,449.99.
The laptop’s memory is integrated and cannot be upgraded after purchase, so buyers need to choose a capacity that fits their anticipated use. The 1TB SSD provides more built-in space for applications and files than lower-capacity configurations, but the report does not specify the storage options included in every discounted model. Whether the extra memory and storage justify the $150 difference from the entry-level discounted listing depends on a buyer’s workload and storage needs.
Apple lists the machine with a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display, two Thunderbolt ports, MagSafe charging, a headphone jack and Touch ID. The supplied product details also give a weight of about 2.7 pounds and battery life of up to 18 hours. That battery figure is a rated maximum, not a guarantee of runtime for every user; actual results depend on use and settings.

Is the 13-Inch M5 MacBook Air a Better Buy at $200 Off?
Amazon’s reported deal brings the 24GB memory, 1TB storage configuration to $1,599. The lower price improves its appeal, but the best fit depends on your workload, storage needs and the live listing.
01 / What the discount changes
A lower entry point for more built-in capacity
The $1,599 listing pairs Apple’s M5 chip with 24GB of unified memory and a 1TB SSD. The savings reduce the upfront price; they do not establish that this configuration is the right value for every buyer.
Memory is a one-time choice
Unified memory cannot be upgraded after purchase. Choose a capacity that suits the applications and multitasking you expect to use.
Room for files kept locally
A 1TB SSD offers more built-in space for applications and files than lower-capacity options. The reported deal does not list every model’s storage.
Match the upgrade to your use
Large photo libraries, video projects or many open applications may benefit from added capacity. These are examples of fit, not tested performance claims.

Quick answers for shoppers
How much is the discounted model?
The reported price is $1,599 for the 24GB unified memory / 1TB SSD configuration after a $200 discount. Check Amazon for the current price.
What do other configurations cost?
Wccftech reports $150 discounts on other models, with prices starting at $1,449.99. Confirm the specifications at that price.
Can the memory be upgraded later?
No. The report says unified memory cannot be upgraded after purchase, so select a capacity for your anticipated needs.
How long does the offer last?
No end date is specified. Amazon’s price and stock can change, so verify the live listing before ordering.
What the $200 Discount Changes
The discount narrows the upfront cost of a configuration that pairs 24GB of non-upgradeable memory with a 1TB SSD. That combination may suit people who regularly work with large photo libraries, video projects or many applications at once, and who want more room on the laptop itself. Those uses are examples of potential fit, not independently tested performance results.
For buyers with lighter needs, the $1,449.99 starting price for other discounted configurations may be more relevant. The deal alone does not establish which configuration is the better value: the price difference, memory and storage included in each option, and a buyer’s expected use all matter. The offer is also an Amazon listing rather than a permanent change to Apple’s pricing, so shoppers should check the current price and terms before ordering.

M5 Air Configurations and Trade-Offs
The MacBook Air is Apple’s lightweight, fanless laptop line. The reported configuration combines that portable design with the M5 chip and higher memory and storage capacities. Wccftech cites a fanless design, a four-speaker system with spatial audio, and a 12-megapixel Center Stage camera among the device’s features. A fanless computer operates without a cooling fan; the report’s description of quiet operation is not a benchmark of performance or noise under every workload.
The key purchasing trade-off is that memory is fixed at checkout, while storage needs can change over time. A 1TB drive can reduce reliance on external drives for files kept locally, but the report does not compare the discounted laptop’s capacity with cloud-storage costs or alternative computers. Wccftech also discloses that it may earn a commission if a reader buys through an affiliate link, a commercial relationship relevant to the deal coverage.

Deal Duration and Price History
The report does not say when the $200 offer expires, whether it applies to every color or seller option, or how much inventory remains. Amazon prices and availability can change, so the listed price may not persist. Wccftech calls $1,599 the lowest price on Amazon, but provides no dated price history, baseline or tracking period; the extent and duration of any price record cannot be checked from the details given.
The report also does not provide independent performance tests, battery testing conditions or a full price comparison against other laptops. Buyers should verify the configuration, final checkout price, seller and return terms on Amazon before purchasing.
Check the Listing Before Buying
The next step for shoppers is to confirm whether Amazon still lists the 24GB/1TB configuration at $1,599 and compare it with the other discounted models, reported to start at $1,449.99. Check the exact memory and storage in the selected listing, since those specifications determine which offer is being compared.
No further price change or promotion end date has been announced in the available details. The listing’s price and stock status are the immediate things to monitor; the deal should be treated as temporary unless Amazon states otherwise.
